Mine don't seem to be getting out of the Outbox, unless of course I've been sent to Coventry.

Try me while on board - I think they have to be 'called' by the recipient opening them up (?) - a while since I tested.
Ignored PMs stuck there for months until I killed them at my end.

They stay in the outbox until the recipient reads them.
